Blogging Reflection Post

LETZ REFLECT

This is my 8th post and I have 23 comments. The post that I enjoyed writing the most was the halloween poem. I used the CLUSTR map as a web tool on my page, and what I liked most about blogging was the creativity that everybody poured into their works. I think I improved throughout the challenge by getting more into it. I think that I liked the Student Blogging Challenge more than the 100 Word Challenge, because I got to see what everybody else submitted and I had a lot of fun taking music surveys from the Student Blogging Challenge. The only part of blogging that I didn’t like was not knowing what to write about and having to brainstorm. I don’t think that I will continue this blog until next school year.

Student Blogging Challenge Week 5

I go to a catholic school in Bucks County, that has what we call specials. Music, art, technology, gym, and spanish. In technology we work on our blogs and it is very fun. I am actually in technology right now. In gym we play different sports, in fact the last few weeks we have been playing basketball because of March Madness. In music class we sing songs and learn how to play the guitar. In art class it depends on the season and we make art accordingly. For example, near valentines we made hearts, near halloween we made scarecrows. In spanish we learn…well spanish. Right now we are learning about food and singular and plural nouns and adjectives.

Reading Olympics

Reading Olympics is a competition that takes place in a high school, but only kids from 4th to 8th grade can participate in. Our school takes part in Reading Olympics, and there are about 50 children in our school that are in Reading Olympics, (including me). We meet up just about every monday after-school to practice. Our practices are 1 hour long. At Reading Olympics, there are about 45 books that we can read. At the competition we sit in a circle and verse another team. The judge asks the teams questions and we can discuss for 20 seconds. The captain nominates who answers the question based on the previous discussion. The person then says the answer and the judge tellls them if they are correct or not. If they are incorrect the other team gets to chance to answer the question. There are 3 rounds with different teams at the competition. The most amount of points possible is 120 points. Since I am a 6th grader, I am a captain. I am looking forward to this year’s competition.

100 Word Challenge Week #23

A pirate, (Matt Sparrow) climbed up the ladder to the crow’s nest. He saw an enemy ship. He rung the bell and put up the red flag signaling danger. The pirates on both ships were getting closer they all got ready for the fight. Unfortunately, the other ship destroyed their ship in an instant. The pirates jumped out as their ship was sinking, taking all of their coins with it. The pirates had all been washed up onto an island where they were awakened by the cool pavement. They looked around and realized that they were in their hometown where they had abandoned their families to find treasure. They had a humongous feast to celebrate the pirates coming back.

100 Word Challenge #21 2019

Right now I’m in the suburbs and I’m watching my owners play baseball in the backyard. They’re both 13 years old so they don’t really use me anymore. They’re always trying to play baseball with random objects instead of an actual baseball. Wait a minute why is John coming towards me, maybe he finally wants to play with me again! Oh no he’s grabbing me aggressively, he’s taking me to the backyard. He winds his hand with me in it making me very dizzy, and then he throws me as hard as he possibly can, as fast as I’ve ever seen him throw. Then the batter hits me so hard I launch like a rocket towards the city and then I fall and hit the pavement of New York City so hard that I bounce dozens of times.
